Kiyoko Kay Toda

Kiyoko Toda was born on May 10, 1928 in Auburn, Washington to Matsukichi and Isa Ohashi.  She passed away peacefully on November 26, 2022 in Seattle, WA, at the age of 94.

She spent time interned during WWII at camps in Tule Lake, California; Heart Mountain, Wyoming; Jerome, Arkansas; and she ended up in Seabrook, New Jersey to gain employment after leaving the internment camps. As with many others of her generation she did not talk much about her experiences in the internment camps.

She lived a full life, raised her family and participated in numerous clubs and organizations in the Japanese American community.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Katashi Kay Toda; her siblings Mike Ohashi, Nancy Kitajo and Sue Nakatani. She is survived by two of her siblings: Julie Morizumi and Ben Ohashi.

She leaves behind her sons Larry, Wesley, and John , grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous relatives and extended family members.  There will be a small gathering of relatives at an unspecified date.
