With profound sadness, our family shares the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved son, Kyle Andrew Clark.
Kyle was an avid reader from the very beginning. From the time he was still learning to read, books were his constant companions. He read anything and everything he could get his hands on, driven by curiosity, imagination, and a deep love of learning that stayed with him throughout his life.
Since 2018, Kyle worked at Costco, where he was steadily growing and moving up through the ranks. His coworkers were more than teammates—they were a second family to him. The friendships, support, and sense of belonging he found there meant a great deal to Kyle, and our family is truly grateful for that important part of his life.
Kyle had a lifelong passion for board and card games. He especially loved Risk, Monopoly, Chess, Settlers of Catan, and Magic: The Gathering. He and his siblings also loved to play Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros video games. He was a student of game theory and strategy, fascinated not just by winning but by understanding the mechanics, psychology, and academic principles behind each game. This love began in childhood and followed him into adulthood, becoming one of the many ways he connected with others and expressed his sharp, analytical mind.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Veronica Alexander; his father, David Clark; his stepmother, Cindy Scordo-Clark; his brother, Evan Clark; his sisters,Sierra Clark and Isabella Clark; and his cherished niece, Cleo Goodall, along with his grandparents and many extended family members who loved him deeply.
Kyle was in the prime of his life and just beginning to hit his stride. Despite the struggles he faced—as we all do—he was focused on growth, self-improvement, and continuing along an upward career path. He was looking forward, with hope and determination.
Music was another great love of Kyle’s. His taste spanned generations and genres, from Johnny Cashto The Smiths, and everything in between. He also loved being outdoors—especially fishing—and had recently begun exploring the beautiful hiking opportunities Washington has to offer.
One lighthearted family detail that always brings a smile is Kyle’s unwavering love for corned beef. It was his meal of choice for special occasions—birthdays, visits to Grandma’s house in Southern California, or really any excuse at all. He once even offered to cook corned beef as a special date-night meal for a girlfriend. We’re not sure how that romantic gesture was received, but it still makes us laugh—and it captures Kyle’s sincere, unapologetic authenticity perfectly.
Kyle was wonderful with children. He had a natural warmth, patience, and kindness that made kids gravitate toward him. Above all, he adored his niece Cleo, and she adored him in return. He also had a deep love for animals and a nurturing, gentle nature that showed in how he cared for every living thing around him.
Kyle Andrew Clark was intelligent, thoughtful, loving, and unique. He was deeply loved, and he will be profoundly missed—always remembered for his mind, his heart, his humor, and the quiet strength he carried with him.
Please see his service information above and share your memories of him with family and friends on his guestbook below.
