Michael Jordan

December 15, 1945 – December 16, 2025

Michael Jordan passed away peacefully on December 16th, one day after his 80th birthday. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, positive attitude, kind heart and his many stories.

Michael was born and raised in Seattle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, working in the yard, having people come over to swim in the pool, and most of all camping at Lake Alta with family and friends.

Michael taught elementary school in the Seattle Public Schools for over 30 years and retired in 2002.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Norman Jordan. He is survived by his wife Patti (Luke); son Jason, daughter Annamarie; granddaughter Ayva Thomas; his two kitties Fluffy and Freckles; sisters Claudia (Al), Marylou (Dan), brother Jeff (Teresa) and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held on December 20th at Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Treehouse or Meow Cat Rescue.
