Wing Ching Chin

Wing Ching Chin, our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother was born on November 3, 1939 and passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024.

Wing Ching was born in Guangdong, China, and graduated from the Toy Shan Girl's Normal School. In September 1961, she married Henry Ging Hong Chin and eventually settled in Seattle to raise their family. Wing Ching was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherishing her relationships with extended family and many dear friends. She was an active member of the Toy Shan Girl's Normal School Alumnae Association of America and the Eng Suey Sun Family Association. She took great care of her grandchildren, spending many cherished hours as their caregiver in their early years.

Wing Ching is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Henry Ging Hong; daughters Lisa (Jeff), Alma (Danny), Sharon (Matt), and son Norman (Pam). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Zachary, Madison, Braedan, Jonah, Lauren, Benjamin, and Olivia, her brother Jin Fay Ng (Betty) and nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Wing Ching’s name to Asian Counseling and Referral Services (ACRS): Give - ACRS .

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Rainier Avenue Church, 5900 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.

Following the service, interment will be held at Lake View Cemetery, 1554 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102.

Lastly, a lunch reception will be hosted at Joyale Restaurant, 900 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, beginning at 1:00 PM.
